Kohl's Safety Outreach Program

The Kohl's Safety Outreach Program is dedicated to preventing unintentional injuries for all children through education, training, outreach and access to appropriate safety resources. The Kohl's Safety Outreach Program participates in community events and partnerships to further these efforts. The program also develops trainings specific to individual injury areas, such as the Safe Escape program. Every year, program staff and volunteers participate in over 40 community events - reaching tens of thousands of children and caregivers across Middle Tennessee.

The work of Kohl's Safety Outreach Program is made possible through the generous support of the Kohl's Cares® program.  Your support of the Kohl's Cares® program, by purchasing program merchandise at Middle Tennessee Kohl's locations, will ensure that these child safety programs continue.

Children's Hospital also participates in a number of local and statewide efforts to reduce the risk of unintentional injury to children. The Safe Routes to School State Network partnership is an example of community partners working together to reduce pedestrian injuries for children while also encouraging healthy, active communities. For more information or to become involved in any of our child safety initiatives, please contact Sarah Haverstick.
