The Office of Medical Affairs, in partnership with Provider Support Services, is responsible for coordinating the credentialing process for Children's Hospital. The process includes a series of confirmations designed to collect relevant training and previous work history that serves as the basis for decisions regarding appointments and reappointments to the medical staff.
An examination into current and past practices and review of relevant criterion is conducted to assess competency. This process complies with the Joint Commission and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services for medical staff.
