Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU)

A significant number of children admitted to Children's Hospital suffer from heart disease; many of of which have congenital problems. The PCICU cares for those children while they are critically ill and recovering from cardiac surgery. The PCICU is a team of physicians, nurses, social workers, case managers, respiratory therapists, child life specialists, and other essential care providers who are trained in treating children with heart conditions.
